Travis Scott donated US$1 million in scholarships to 100 students at HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) who are on track to graduate in the Class of 2022, making sure they can cross the finish line without having to worry about financial hurdles. For the second year in a row, the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund—named after Scott's grandfather—granted 100 US$10,000 scholarships to soon-to-be grads who finished their final semester with at least a 3.5 GPA. According to Scott's website, all 38 HBCUs were represented in this year’s 2022 class of scholarship recipients.

Rapper Kodak Black launched a US$100,000 scholarship honoring Meadow Pollack, one of the victims of the Parkland mass shooting in 2018. The artist visited Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on the three-year anniversary of the mass shooting that claimed the lives of 17 people and announced that the scholarship will be in Pollack's name at the Southeastern University Law School, where her brother is currently studying. Black, who was reportedly Pollack's favorite rapper, said in a speech, "They [were] young and none of them deserved this," adding that it's about more than just Pollack: "It's about all of us."
