Prince and Tom Perry not only shared an exceptional talent for music, but they also shared a painkiller addiction. Prince was found dead at home on April 21, 2016, following an overdose of fentanyl.

The 28-year-old Australian actor died on January 22, 2008. Ledger overdosed on a mix of prescription meds and was found dead at home.

Both artists suffered tragic deaths. Cooke was shot by motel manager Bertha Lee Franklin in December 1964, aged 33. Franklin claimed it was self-defense, and she was not charged.

Fast forward to April 1, 1984, and the "Prince of Motown" was shot by his own father, just a day before the singer's 45th birthday. He too didn't serve time for it. Gaye Sr. served a suspended jail sentence instead.

The incredibly talented singer-songwriter left us on October 4, 1970. Joplin was found in a LA hotel room, and the cause of death was accidental overdose. She had a history of struggling with alcohol and heroin.

'The Blues Brothers' comedic actor was known for his hard-partying lifestyle. Unfortunately, Belushi overdosed after injecting a speedball (a mix of heroin and cocaine) on March 5, 1982.

The 'Beverly Hills Ninja' funnyman actor was also known for being the life of the party with his energetic presence. He too died after injecting a speedball, on December 18, 1997.

Not only where they both child stars, but they both struggled with addiction. The actress was found dead in her bathroom on December 20, 2009. The cause of death was "severe pneumonia, with anemia plus prescription and OTC drugs as contributing factors."

The child star of 'The Lost Boys' fame also died under similar circumstances: from pneumonia and other heart-related problems, on March 10, 2010.

The famous 61-year-old chef took his life in a hotel room in France, on June 8, 2018. Anthony Bourdain had a history of battling addiction and depression.

The American fashion designer had a similar tragic death. Spade was also found dead in her Manhattan flat. She too had battled depression and took her life. Spade did so just three days before Bourdain, on June 5, 2018.

The iconic front man of INXS was found dead in a hotel room in Sydney, Australia, on November 22, 1997. A cocktail of drugs and alcohol was found in his system, which led the coroner to rule that he had taken his own life. However, his girlfriend, among others, believed Hutchence accidentally passed away from "auto-erotic asphyxia."

Fast forward to June 3, 2009, and the 'Kill Bill' actor was also found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. Carradine died of asphyxiation, after a sex act gone wrong.

Not only were Foxx and Cooper both comedians, but they also died in a similar fashion. Foxx died on October 11, 1991 of a heart attack while rehearsing a performance on set.

The Playboy Playmate was shot by her husband, Paul Snider (who then killed himself), and died on August 14, 1980.
